Our Mission
Enhance Missoula’s vibrant neighborhoods by promoting aging in place with dignity, independence, and engagement through a trusted network of services, social connections, and community-driven resource exchange.
Missoula Villages is a low cost community-based program that helps older adults stay in their homes and remain connected to their neighborhoods. Background checked volunteers of all ages share their time and talents to support one another—creating a network of care, friendship, and mutual respect. Whether it’s helping with errands, sharing a meal, or simply spending time together, Missoula Villages is about building relationships and strengthening community ties.
Launching January 2026
The first Missoula Village will include all areas served by Missoula Aging Services within the City and County of Missoula. For the low cost of $25/month ($40/month for couples) it is an economical way to assure help with necessary tasks while broadening your social network. As more neighbors join, we’ll form local Villages aligned with Missoula Neighborhood Council boundaries.

Not Ready to Join Yet - Consider Volunteering
Many of our volunteers are over 60. Starting as a volunteer is a wonderful way to learn about Missoula Villages, get involved and make new friends. Then, when you think that increasing your social circle and having access to the services and volunteers will be useful - you can join then.

STAY IN YOUR HOME: You love your home. Let Missoula Villages help you stay there. Missoula is a wonderful place to retire and age with grace. Missoula Village's goal is to make it even better, by helping local residents live and age safely and comfortably in the place they call home.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS: Missoula Villages is a program to connect members to a full range of support services through a volunteer exchange program including Transportation, Handy Man Services, Home Safety Assessments, Lawn Care, Snow Removal, Visitor Programs, Errand Runners, Meal Delivery and much more. The Village also offers cultural and social events, community services and advice in partnership with Missoula Aging Services and other organizations. AGING AT HOME BUT NOT ALONE! We looked beyond conventional solutions. We wanted more freedom and control than we found in models that focus on single issues, such as housing, medical care, or social activities. We wanted to be active, taking care of ourselves and each other rather than being “taken care of.”
