How do I request a service?
You can request a service by going to our service request page. When you are logged in to the Missoula Villages website put your cursor over the MEMBERS tab at the top of the page and click on New Service Request. You will be taken to the NEW SERVICE REQUEST page. Fill out the form with good detail about the request.
Your request will then be sent out to all of our volunteers in that service category, or to the proper agency.
For requests handled by our volunteers, each volunteer in that area will get a notice of the request and, if they are available, they will respond as soon as they can. Please be patient as volunteers also have schedules and many obligations in their lives. If you do not hear back in a reasonable time call (406)- 728-7682 and ask for the volunteer coordinator.
For requests to agencies, you can often contact the agency directly from our benefits page. That is often the fastest way to get a response. Requests sent through the service request page may take a little more time to be transfered to the correct agency. Thanks for your patience.
DETAILS:
When you are signed in to the Missoula Villages Website put your cursor over the MEMBERS tab at the top of the page and click on New Service Request. You will be taken to the NEW SERVICE REQUEST page as shown below.
SEARCH MEMBER: Search for your name in the search member box. You can type in your name or you can scroll down and find yourself. Click on select and you will be shown in a grey box with your address and phone numbers. It will also show how many requests you are allowed and how many you have made for the month.
TYPE OF SERVICE: Choose they Type of service you are requesting by clicking on the arrow after Please choose.
PURPOSE: Clearly write what the purpose for the service request is. More detail is better than too little.
SERVICE DATE and START TIME: Please enter the preferred date and time.
If the date and time are flexible, please click those boxes. If the date and time are not flexible do not check the boxes. If you have a scheduled appointment, then do not check the flexible boxes, but do check the box asking if there is an appointment time.
APPROX. DURATION: Please use the pull-down tab to choose how long the activity should take and what time it would end, if known. This helps the volunteer plan their day and if they can help.
MEMBER NEEDS: Please clearly note and specific needs that you have that might affect who is able to offer the volunteer service.
There are two check boxes at the bottom. Please check if appropriate. The box labeled CHECK IF IMPORTANT is a good one to check if you have a doctor’s appointment or something that cannot be cancelled.
Be sure to Click the Red SAVE button at the bottom.
WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
- You request will be sent out via email to all volunteers who have signed up for the category of your request.
- As soon as one of the volunteers accepts your request, they will give you a call. When they accept your request, they get your phone number and address. This will generally be a number that you do not recognize and you do not answer they will leave a message that the are calling about your service request. If you did not answer, please check your messages and call them right back. During the call you can confirm the times and locations with each other.
- If you do not get a call well before the time when you need the service, please call the Missoula Villages number (406)-728-7682 and ask for the volunteer coordinator. They will help find you a volunteer.
- Finally, after the service is completed, you should get an email asking for feedback on the service.
